Who we are

YourHEI is a service that helps applicants choose where to study. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using the site you agree to it.

What we collect

Account data (e-mail and a protected form of your password); profile data (date of birth, gender if you give it, country of residence, citizenships, what you are looking for, the status of your documents); your survey answers; and technical and usage data (pages you visit, actions on the site, device, browser, language, IP address, approximate location, the site you came from), including through cookies and similar technologies.

Why we collect it

To run and improve the service, check the minimum age, build your matches, communicate with you, measure how the site is used, show advertising, do research, keep the service secure and meet legal duties.

Analytics and sharing

We may use analytics and advertising tools. We may send analytics and usage data, and other data we collect, to analytics, advertising, hosting and other providers and partners, wherever they are located, including in other countries.

How we may use the data

To the extent the law allows, we may use the data we collect as we see fit: to run, personalise, analyse and improve the service, to develop new products and services, to advertise, and to publish or share statistics and research, including in aggregated or anonymised form.

Storage

Data is stored with our providers (for example our database provider) until you delete your account. Technical logs and backups may be kept for some time after that.

Your rights

In your profile you can edit your data, download a copy, switch off e-mails and delete your account with all data. Where the law gives you more rights, for example in the EU, the EEA or the UK, we respect them.

Minimum age

We register people only from the minimum age of their country of residence (14, 16 or 18, depending on the country). If you are younger, no account is created and nothing you typed is stored.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for your language, theme and sign-in, and for analytics and advertising. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.

Changes

We may change this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; if you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
